THE ORDER
A handmade artisanal menswear capsule collection created from reconstructed and reclaimed textiles and embellishments.
Over the course of 3 months, I built this collection completely from scratch. I was very inspired by rural romanian, english, and italian workwear and dress from the early 19th century.
Every detail is intentional and each pattern was meticulously crafted through trial and error. My favorite details are the stitch details around the collar and sleeves and trousers of Look III.
In Look I, Lincoln wears a French woolen vest with various patches, handpicked/handsewn buttons, and handpicked pin details. a French cotton métis shirt made from a 1920s feedsack with handpicked buttons, various patches and various fabric arrangements. and a French woolen britches with various patches and handpicked buttons.
In Look II, Charles wears a Royal blue cotton canvas chore jacket blazer, fully lined with cotton and rayon striped fabrics. Featuring handpicked/hand-sewn buttons, various patchwork, and rare antique pins/embellishments. a Cotton, linen, and silk mixed fabric arrangement shirt with handpicked/hand-sewn antique buttons. and a French antique cotton striped sailors trousers made from a 1920s tablecloth with various patchwork and antique handpicked/hand-sewn buttons.
In Look III, Chase wears a Silk charmuse scarf. A French cotton linen jacket with various fabric arrangements, hand-stitched fabric layering, and various dye treatments. All buttons and pin details are handpicked from antique marketplaces. And a Black twill cotton canvas trousers with various patches, fabric arrangements, hand-stitched fabric layering, and fabric dye treatments. Features antique handpicked/hand-sewn buttons and pins/embellishments.
